Lin Liang Hui, a 43-year-old Chinese, is accused of being involved in a ring traffiking Vietnamese women to China
The group planned to go to China by road from Hanoi.
Later police seized seven other suspected members in the ring.
Initial police reports said that the Vietnamese suspects were in charge of “recruiting” women for Lin, who would bring Chinese men here to meet them.
After that Lin would send the women to China, police said, adding that for every woman Lin received VND80-100 million (US$3,800-4,700) from Chinese men.
So far 40 Vietnamese women have been sold to China by the ring, police said.
The case is being investigated further.
