RESPONDING to an invitation from the Cuban government, Nguyen Thi Doan, vice president of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam, begins an official visit to our country today.
The distinguished visitor is accompanied by a large delegation comprising Nguyen Kim Ngan, minister of labor, invalid and social affairs, who also presides over the Vietnam-Cuba Friendship Association; Nguyen Thi Tan Hoa, president of the Union of Vietnamese Women; and other officials from the Vietnamese government and Foreign Ministry.
This visit will contribute to strengthening the excellent friendly relations between the two governments, which are developing within the framework of the historical links of fraternity and solidarity that exist between the peoples of Cuba and Vietnam.
During her stay in our country, the Vietnamese vice president will have official talks with Carlos Lage Dávila, vice president of the Council of State, and also meet other Cuban government officials and Party leaders. Likewise, she will visit places of economic and social interest.
