Another former US statesperson has said the war in Iraq will go down in history as worse than the conflict in Vietnam last century.
Madeleine Albright, the Czech-born former U.S. secretary of state, made the comments in an interview with the Czech daily Hospodarske Noviny on Friday.
Albright said the Iraq war has been the biggest decline in U.S. foreign policy.
She said that the war has set off a chain reaction in the Middle East that will be difficult to calm down, comparing diplomacy and international affairs to a billiards game where each ball sets another in motion.
What is happening in Iraq now has an influence on the developments in other countries, Albright said, adding that Iran's power is growing, as is the tension between Kurds and Turks.
ed note: I usually keep this site NON political, but this is NEWS and I don't think anyone is surprised by Albright's comments. Hopefully the change this coming election, we will have change.
