Vietnam believes in Chinese Government's measures to maintain social stability in Tibet

"Tibet-related issues are China’s internal affairs. Vietnam believes the Government of China will find suitable measures to ensure security and maintain social stability and economic development in Tibet and all of China, the Foreign Ministry spokesman Le Dung said.
The spokesman made the statement on March 19 in response to queries on Vietnam's reaction to the recent events in China’s Tibet autonomous region and their possible impact on the 2008 Olympics in Beijing.
"The 2008 Olympic in Beijing is an important global sport festival to be held for the purpose of promoting friendship and co-operation between nations for peace and progress in the world," he added.
He said Vietnam was making great efforts to prepare for the 2008 Olympics in order to contribute to the success of this year’s largest sporting event.
