Bangladeshi official praises Vietnam’s achievements

VietNamNet Bridge - Chief Advisor of the Bangladeshi Government Fakhruddin Ahmed has praised Vietnam’s achievements during its 20 years of renewal process, describing the country as an example of stable development. The Bangladeshi government official made of the comment while receiving Vietnamese Ambassador to Bangladesh Nguyen Van That, who paid him a courtesy visit in Dhaka on February 5.He expressed his wish that Vietnam would support Bangladesh ’s participation in the Ganga-Mekong Cooperation programme and bilateral cooperation would be boosted through the Joint-Government Commission.Fakhruddin Ahmed congratulated Vietnam on its membership of the World Trade Organisation (WTO) and the non-permanent seat the UN Security Council and expressed his hope that Vietnam would support Bangladesh in regional and international cooperation and the ASEAN Regional Forum (ARF). He asked Vietnam to give an early reply regarding rice export to Bangladesh .Ambassador That thanked the Bangladeshi people and government for their support to Vietnam’s struggle for national freedom in the past and the current national construction, as well as cooperation at international forum.
