"U.N. announces Vietnam training projects
Vietnam will benefit from United Nations human resource training projects to improve trade competitiveness.
Bhutan, Indonesia and Nepal will also be involved in the projects, designed to improve the nations’ global integration, the U.N. announced at a conference in Cambodia.
The three-day U.N. Conference on Trade and Development (UNCTAD), in Phnom Penh from February 5 to 7, drew delegations from Bhutan, Cambodia, Indonesia, Laos, Nepal and Vietnam, as well as donors, such as the Asian Development Bank (ADB), the U.N. Development Program (UNDP) and France.
The attendees discussed strengthening local capacities and training methodologies in the areas of trade and development.
The conference also reviewed UNCTAD’s training for trade program for Cambodia and Laos, which began in 2003, and discussed the lessons from the program for similar projects in Bhutan, Indonesia, Nepal and Vietnam"
