Wearing scanty clothes, artists to be banned from stage for two years

LookAtVietnam – The Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism will impose administrative fines, withdraw show licenses or ban artists from appearing on the stage from 6 months to 2 years if they change the content of their performances or wear scanty costumes.

The announcement released by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism on May 31 said that the Ministry has assigned the Performing Art Agency to send a dispatch to all radio and television stations to ask them not broadcast art shows in which artists lip-sync, perform unlicensed works or wear scanty clothes.
The Ministry will also amend Decree 75 on administrative fines on violations in performing arts. Accordingly, artists who willingly change their performances, wear scanty clothes, have rude statements or lip-sync will face tough punishment, including withdrawal of performance license and being banned from stage from 6 months to 2 years.
Today the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism held a conference on addressing violations in performing activities in Hanoi.
