A man in south central Vietnam had a leech removed from his nose on Sunday after it had been there for two weeks.
Ha Van Canh, 42, said his nose was
constantly itchy, bleeding and causing difficulties in breathing after
he had a nap at a field in the Central Highlands province of Dak Lak.
Canh went to a private clinic in the province and was prescribed lung inflammation medicine which did not help his condition improve.
During a visit to his home in the central province of Binh Dinh, Canh went to a medical center where Dr. Nguyen Van Thuan removed a five-centimeter-long leech that had lodged in his nasal cavity for half a month.
