An eight-year-old girl who has a massive tumor on her left leg was admitted to a Ho Chi Minh City hospital Monday, Tuoi Tre newspaper reported.
Nguyen Thi Loan from the Central Highlands province of Lam Dong underwent scans and tests at the Children’s Hospital 2 where doctors plan to discuss her case Wednesday.
Loan, born to Nguyen Cong Duc, 35, and Nguyen Thi Tam, 30, had an unusually large left leg when she was born.
Twenty days after her birth, her parents took her to the Children’s Hospital 1 where doctors diagnosed her with hemangioma of infancy and said they could not provide treatment for her.
When she turned three, her left leg grew bigger.
According to her mother, she suffers from terrible pains whenever the weather changed that make her unable to eat or sleep .
The family recently took her to Lam Dong Province General Hospital but doctors there were unable to diagnose her condition.
