LookAtVietnam - Half of a year opened to the public, the $15 million Hoa Binh Park is neglected by people.
The park, located in the Xuan Dinh Commune, Tu Liem District, has a total
investment of VND282 billion (nearly $15 million). It was opened
in October 2010, to celebrate Hanoi’s 1000th anniversary.
The 20-ha park accommodates a 5.5-ha lake, green space, parking lots
and many other facilities. The Statue of Peace, 7.2m high, is at the heart of the park.
Approved in 2001 by the prime minister, Hoa Binh is designed to
become a cultural and entertainment park in Hanoi.
The park symbolizes peace and acts as a green oasis in the busy capital city.
The park has a grounds and an underground parking lot of over 3,000sq.m,
and many great monuments, entertainment facilities, etc.
However, it is very quiet, even during the weekend.
There were no visitors at the entertainment center.
Only several visitors were there.
There were only motorbikes at the parking lot.
