Vietnam Airlines to cancel flights to Bangkok until Dec. 5

Vietnam Airlines, on Wednesday, decided to cancel flights from Hanoi and HCM City to Bangkok on December 4-5.
On Tuesday, the airline said that the Thai authorities had announced that Bangkok-based Suvarnabhumi Airport would be closed until 6:00 pm, December 15. However, on Wednesday Thai aviation authorities stated that they would open the airport again after 6:00 pm on December 5, so Vietnam Airlines will continue canceling its flights to Bangkok on December 4-5.
The airline also announced they will not conduct flights from and to Utapao Airport on December 4-5.
Vietnam Airlines stated that they will resume their flights to Bangkok as soon as possible after the Suvarnabhumi Airport opens again. It recommended that passengers update information through its booking offices in Vietnam, its website or its branch in Bangkok, through hotlines: +662 6554137/38/39/40, +668 18291616 or +668 52587887; +668 1905 0621.
Between November 26 and December 3, Vietnam Airlines had to cancel 16 flights from Hanoi and HCM City to Bangkok due to recent demonstration in Thailand.
