Vietnam's top lender, Agribank, has cut its dong lending rate by 1 percentage point to 16.5 percent after the central bank cut its base rate earlier this week.
The new rate, effective from Tuesday, is 4.5 percentage points lower than at the start of the year, the unlisted, Hanoi-based bank said in a statement seen on Wednesday.
Agribank last reduced its lending rate by one percentage point to 17.5 percent from 18.5 percent on Oct. 8.
