US surgeons remove giant facial tumour from Vietnamese girl

Surgeons from Jackson Memorial Hospital in Miami , Florida , have successfully removed a 7 kg tumour from the face of a Vietnamese girl. The surgeons’ team said that Lai Thi Dao got a bean-sized spot on her tongue at the age of 3, which later developed very fast to become a tumour. The benign tumour called “Schawannoma”, making up one-third of her weight, caused a lot of difficulties for Dao in her daily life. The 12-hour 107,000 USD operation was paid by an NGO for Children.
