A large-scale music gala gathering Vietnamese and Japanese pop stars will take place in Hanoi and HCM City to celebrate the 35th anniversary of Vietnam-Japan diplomatic relations (21/9/1973-21/9/2008).
The gala will be held at the National Convention Centre in Hanoi on May 24-25 and at Hoa Binh Theatre in HCM City on May 26.
Famous Japanese singers like Godai Natsuko, Akikawa Masafumi, Rimi Natsukawa, Shimatani Hitomi and Vietnamese pop stars Hong Nhung, My Linh, My Tam, Quang Dung, Lam Truong, and Tan Minh will participate in the show.
The gala will be aired live on Vietnam’s VTV and Japan’s NHK channels. This is the first show that will gather famous singers of Japan and Vietnam.
The gala is sponsored by the Japanese Embassy in Vietnam, the Vietnamese Foreign Ministry and the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism.
Since the Vietnam-Japan cultural exchange festival held in the ancient town of Hoi An in 2003 to celebrate the 30th anniversary of Vietnam-Japan relations, nearly 100 bilateral cultural events have been organised in the two countries.
