Doctor Phan Xuan Khoi – Head of Obstetric and gynecology of Vietnam – Cuba, Dong Hoi Hospital stated that was the first time the endoscopic surgery was successfully applied in gonad prolapse treatment for patient - Mrs. Nguyen Thi Ngan (age: 32; place lived: Bac Ly, Dong Hoi, Quang Binh).
The operation was implemented in the morning of 24/04/2008. In MD. Khoi’s opinion, gonad prolapse is usually occurred women, especially in elderly, women delivering babies many times, working hard jobs, having unapproriate eating habit.
Besides, this disease also occurs in young women who at the age delivering babies. It causes the patient feel annoyed in daily file and some complications…
Dealing to gonad prolapse, doctor usually operates for patient regarding to the traditional medical method, such as Crossen; Le ford…. which have some disadvantages.
In MD.Khoi’s opinion, the endoscopic surgery method use to treat this disease has some following advantages: limit the surgery duration; avoid the infection; reduce the hurted feeling in patient, avoid the loss of blood; reduce the duration in hospital; disaffect the physiology in sexual relationship; especially, save the uterus, ovary, recover the delivery functions in the women at age delivering babies.
Six hours after the surgery, patient Nguyen Thi Ngan could stand, walk and eat by herself, she was in a good mood./
