POSCO's construction unit announced Monday it has secured an order to build an international harbor terminal in Vietnam, the first phase of which is valued at over US$100 million.
The terminal will be developed in the port city of Vung Tau, some 130 km south of Ho Chi Minh City, and will be able to handle over one million 20-foot containers per year.
Work is scheduled to begin in May and wrap up in about three years' time.
The deal comes at an auspicious time for parent company POSCO, which celebrates its 40th anniversary on Tuesday
