Direct flights between Seoul in the Republic of Korea (RoK) and Da Nang will begin on July 2, after the municipal authorities of the two cities Friday struck a deal on air services.
Asiana Airlines will offer two flights a week on the route.
Thai Airways and Singapore’s Silkair already offer international flights from Da Nang.
Asiana Airlines is a subsidiary of the RoK’s Kumho Real Estate Group, which has several hotels and complexes in Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City.
Da Nang leaders have also allowed the Korean corporation to invest in a big complex in Da Nang’s water park area.
