Sitting in the silence of a Hanoi night, next to a large window overlooking the sparkling surface of West Lake, is an Egyptian woman. Quietly she moves her brush, outlining the figure of a young Vietnamese girl wearing a traditional long dress, the flowing Ao Dai.
The painter’s name is Dina Osman, whose sleepless nights have often been given to painting, after joining her husband, an Egyptian diplomat three years ago. Her canvasses instil Vietnam’s landscapes and people with vibrancy on those peaceful nights.
