Singer Thai Hoa will perform the songs of the famous Vietnamese composer, Trinh Cong Son, to commemorate the seventh anniversary of his death, in Lyon and Paris on March 22 and 30.
The performance of Son’s songs, who was dubbed the “Vietnamese Bob Dylan” for his anti-war songs, will be free.
Thai Hoa, 35, left Vietnam for the US in 1982 and is famous in the overseas Vietnamese community.
Trinh Cong Son passed away in Ho Chi Minh City on April 1, 2001 at the age of 62.
With over 600 compositions to his name, Son is widely considered one of the most salient figures of modern Vietnamese music
